Eight Dutchess Residents Charged In State Police St. Patrick's Day Weekend Patrols

Several Hudson Valley residents were among dozens removed from the road by New York State Police troopers over St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Dutchess County

  • On Friday, March 15, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Joshua Davis, 48, of Wappinger, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9D in Wappinger, when he was stopped following an erratic vehicle complaint. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, March 16, State Police troopers from Poughkeepsie arrested Alyssa M. Cenname, 25, of Beekman, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 55 in Lagrange, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, March 16, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Justin C. Long, 31, of Poughkeepsie, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Noxon Road in Lagrange, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, March 16, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Mark J. Russe, 58, of Wappinger, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9D in Beacon, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, March 16, State Police troopers from Poughkeepsie arrested Michael J. Casino Jr., 32, of Wappinger, for DWI. He was traveling on Noxon Road in Lagrange, when he was interviewed during a DWI safety checkpoint. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, March 16, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Frank R. Nicodemus, 31, of Wappinger, for DWI. He was traveling on Noxon Road in Lagrange, when he was interviewed during a DWI safety checkpoint. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Jodi A. Bernstein, 48, of Hopewell Junction, for DWI. He was traveling on Church Street in Fishkill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Thomas J. Zemko, 39, of Dover, for DWAI Drugs, and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, misdemeanors. He was traveling on State Route 22 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs, and was subsequently arrested. Further investigation discovered approximately 1.4 grams of Clonazepam, 1.2 grams of Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine, and 0.6 grams of Alprazolam.

Westchester County

  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Clarence O. Bolton, 42, of Peekskill, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Jonnathan X. Vele, 24, of Tarrytown, for DWI with a previous conviction within ten years, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, both class E felonies. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Somers arrested Ram J. Balani, 67, of Somers, for DWI. He was traveling on Mahopac Avenue in Somers, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Armindo L. Goncalves, 59, of Yonkers, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Stormville arrested Charles R. Premuto, 34, of Carmel, for DWI, and two counts of Criminal Possession on a Controlled Substance,  both misdemeanors. He was traveling on State Route 376 in Poughkeepsie, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested. Further investigation discovered he possessed approximately 200 grams of anabolic steroids, and 22 grams of human growth hormone.
  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Cortlandt arrested Andrew B. Uffenheimer, 45, of Carmel, for DWI. He was traveling on Oregon Road in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

  • On Sunday, March 16, State Police troopers from Dover Plains arrested Jose E. Garcia Moreno, 45, of Norwalk, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in Dover, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Denis Demiri, 30, of Bethel, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, March 17, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Rony J. Almendares, 21, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
